12 Super Strong Blades with different shredding profiles

All the shredding blades and combs are made in stainless steel and fully replaceable.

Felfil Mini Plastic Shredder is also very easy to use. Indeed the led indicates if the blades are ready to start rotating or not. At the same time if the the top flap is open or the binder is not inserted the software does’t allow to run the blades.

The shredding chamber is 120x95mm and the hopper is heigh about 200mm.

What Is a Shredder and Why It Matters

It’ s a machine designed to break down plastic waste into small flakes ready for plastic recycling or extrusion. By cutting and grinding used parts, prototypes, or failed 3D prints, a shredder helps transform waste into new raw material.

Traditional shredders are large, noisy, and made for factories that process kilograms of plastic per hour. But small makers, design studios, and universities need a compact, safe, and efficient solution that fits on a workbench. That’s where the Felfil Shredder+ comes in.

A Small Plastic Reclaimer for Labs, Makers and 3D Printing

Felfil Shredder+ is a professional-grade but user-friendly solution for anyone looking to recycle plastic waste locally. It’s ideal for labs, fablabs, and small-scale production environments. You can easily shred common 3D printing materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, and Nylon, producing uniform flakes ready for filament extrusion.

Compared to DIY plastic shredders or homemade solutions, Felfil Shredder+ ensures consistent flake size, quiet operation, and maximum safety thanks to integrated sensors and a sturdy aluminum body. It’s designed to work seamlessly with Felfil Evo, creating a complete plastic recycling system for your 3D printing workflow.

3 Profiles of Shredding Blades

Counter Blade

Counter Blade

This blade can shred the plastic in the main direction, while the counter spike allow them to move the material and shred it also during the counter rotation

Central Blade

Central Blade

Its scythe design allows the shredder to crush also the biggest part. This blade is positioned in the center of the cutting chamber.

Side Blade

Side Blade

The most complex blade in the shredder, it combines the design of the other two blades. It is needed to  move, shred and crush the material.

Compact-plastic-shredder-for 3d prints

Reclaimer Suitable for a lot of Materials

Our desktop-sized shredding machine, thanks to its unique blade shape, can process a wide range of materials. It is not just a PLA Shredder, we’ve successfully tested it with ABS, PETG, HDPE, PMMA, PA-Carbon, and many more.

The Felfil Shredder+ is specifically designed to process 3D printing plastic waste, but it can also crush plastic from various sources, in this way the resulting flakes can be used to make recycled 3D printing filament, or they can be used to simply reduce the volume by 70%.

Crush any type of polymers from PLA to Onyx

You can make flakes out of almost every type of polymer, 3D printed or not, cutting plastic waste pieces into small particles of about 6mm square.

Our reclaimer can shred objects form different shapes and thicknesses, such as bottle caps, 3D printed parts, yogurt vases, milk bottles, cans, and many others.

You can also shred your domestic everyday plastic wastes, 3D printer filament, or prints just pushing a button.

Frequently Asked Questions about our Polymer Reclaimer

What types of plastic can Felfil Shredder+ process?

Our product is designed to shred most plastics commonly used in 3D printing, including PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, and other rigid thermoplastics. It’s ideal for recycling supports, failed prints, and production scraps.

Is it safe to use at home or in a school lab?

Yes, our plastic shredder features smart sensors and a built-in safety system to prevent accidental activation and jamming. It’s designed for desktop use in home environments, schools, and makerspaces.

How loud is it during operation?

Felfil Shredder+ operates at a noise level similar to a small appliance (around 70–75 dB). It’s quiet enough to be used in an office or shared workspace.

What is the maximum size of plastic I can insert?

The shredder is optimized for pieces up to 8×8 cm. Larger parts should be manually pre-cut to ensure smooth operation and avoid jams.

Do I need to clean it after each use?

No, cleaning after every use is not required if you do not change material, but we recommend occasional maintenance to remove plastic dust or residue. The design makes it easy to access and clean even from the bottom.

Are the flakes produced ready for extrusion?

Yes, the flakes created with Felfil Shredder+ are the ideal size for filament extrusion using machines like our Felfil Evo Extruder. In any case we suggest to make 2 or 3 runs to obtain a more homogenous material.

What’s the difference between an industrial machine and yours?

Felfil Shredder+ is a compact desktop shredder built for small-scale plastic recycling. Unlike industrial ones, it consumes less power, takes up minimal space, and is tailored for 3D printing applications.
