All the machines work perfectly. I already mixed up coffee beans, scissor powders but I see no problem so far. I'm really happy!

Felfil Evo is a safe and easy to use plastic filament maker, able to produce custom and recycled filament for 3D printers starting from pellet or wrong prints directly on your desk.
You can choose from many different plastic materials and make your 3D printing filament.
Felfil Evo is a small 3d printer filament maker and is designed to be used by every user, professional or amateur. Indeed, its compact design and small dimensions are suitable for every desktop.
It extrudes both standard diameters, 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm: you change the nozzle, and both nozzles are included. Temperature, motor speed and cooling are set from a single interface, with no computer attached and no software to learn, then start to make high quality custom filament for your 3D printer.
Moreover, Felfil Evo is available in four colors: yellow transparent, transparent, white or black.

Choose your favourite filament extruder kit and let’s make at home your custom filament with Felfil Evo.
The complete machine, built, tested and calibrated. Both nozzles, hopper, material sample.
Choose this if you want to extrude the day it arrives, or the machine is going into a classroom or a lab where nobody has time to build it.
Only the parts that are hard to make: screw, melting chamber, nozzle, gearmotor and support. You supply the electronics.
Choose this if you already have spare 3D printer electronics and enjoy building. The lowest-cost way into filament extrusion.
Every part needed to build the machine yourself in 1 hour: mechanics, electronics, frame, both nozzles, assembly instructions.
Choose this set if you want to understand the machine you are using. Building it is the fastest way to learn how to maintain and modify it.
This is the complete filament maker system by Felfil, that includes Felfil Evo Assembled and Felfil Spooler.
You will receive all assembled, ready to make your custom and DIY 3d filament.
A complete solution to make your own filament directly on your desktop.
This solution is perfect for who want to try immediately our extruder! An ideal choice for those who want to begin to extrude easily.
You will receive the filament maker already assembled, ready to make your custom and DIY 3d filament. You have just to unbox it and connect the plug.
The Felfil Evo Complete Kit is the solution for who want to build their own extruder, step by step. Then, it is shortly to begin to extrude.
Buying this package you will get all the components of Felfil Evo, you just have to assemble them following the instruction manuals.

Felfil Evo Filament Extruder is supplied with a maximum temperature of 250 °C or 300 °C, chosen when you order to cover the common 3D printing polymers.
If you have a specific material in mind, the full list is on our materials page — and if it is not there, ask us: we test new blends regularly.
Every machine ships with a material sample of about 250g, enough for a first calibration run on the day it arrives.
It is suitable for experimental blends and composites, indeed this is where a desktop extruder earns its place. Small batches, one recipe at a time: our education kit, for example, includes recipes that mix coffee grounds with PLA.
The most common material, and the one to start with. It is also the material most often recycled from failed prints.
Possible at lower speed: soft materials need a slower screw RPM and steadier feed.
One of the easiest polymer to work with, can be extruder with very good tolerance. But it needs a ventilated room.
Excellent results, provided the material is properly dried. It is the polymer we use to send as sample.

The screw has been designed to transform the plastic scraps into a brand new filament. Thanks to its design you can easily make colored filament. The extrusion screw is made by K100 steel machined from a solid base on a five-axis milling machine

Felfil Evo nozzle allows to cool down the filament in output and to keep a constant filament diameter thanks to its internal processing. Easy to change, it’s available in two diameters.

Felfil Evo can work alone, but we developed Felfil spooler in order to make the extrusion process easier. See how Felfil Spooler works.
Find the answers to the frequently asked questions here.
There are the most common question about Felfil Evo, directly asked by our customers.
The Felfil Evo Complete Kit includes all the component of the Felfil project, instead the Basic Kit includes only the mechanical parts. In this case you have to complete the extruder following our guides.
Yes, almost all materials need to be dried before extrusion: moisture causes bubbles and diameter variation. A few hours in a filament dryer or a low oven is enough.
Felfil Evo works with the most common 3D printing polymers — PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, HIPS — in pellet form or as shredded prints. It also handles experimental blends: our education kit includes recipes that mix coffee grounds with PLA. Some engineering polymers need higher temperatures than Evo reaches.
Yes, that is what it is built for. Failed prints need to be shredded into flakes first — that is what the Felfil Shredder+ does — and dried before extrusion. Recycled material behaves differently from virgin pellets: expect a short calibration on the first run.
Felfil Evo can work with a material size of about 6x5x5 mm also in irregular shape. You will obtain a better output if the material is homogeneous.
Both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm — you change the nozzle, and both nozzles are included. Measured tolerance is ±0.07 mm, which is in line with entry-level commercial spools and more than enough for most prints
Between 100 and 150 grams per hour, depending on material and settings. A standard 750 g spool takes roughly five to seven hours of unattended extrusion
The “Protection mode” appears when the motor power consumption is too high (more than 2A @12V).
Yes. A peer-reviewed study on recycled PETG produced with the Felfil system reports tensile test results according to ISO 527 (Dohan et al., Frattura ed Integrità Strutturale, vol. 70, 2024). Consistency depends on the material and on how well it is dried — recycled filament is not identical to industrial spools, and we prefer to say so
Assembled if you want to extrude the day it arrives. Complete Kit if you want to build it yourself and understand the machine: every part is included. Basic Kit if you already have 3D printer electronics and want only the parts that are hard to make — screw, melting chamber, nozzle, gearmotor and support.
Not to start. Evo alone extrudes from pellets. You need the Shredder+ if you want to recycle your own prints, and the Spooler+ if you want the filament wound evenly onto a spool without doing it by hand. Most customers who recycle end up with all three, which is why they are also sold as a bundle.
Yes, with the same care you use for a 3D printer: the melting chamber runs hot and the area should be ventilated. It runs on universal 110-220 V mains, so it works anywhere without an adapter.
Yes — universities and R&D labs use Evo to test polymer blends in small batches, where buying industrial quantities of filament makes no sense. Every machine ships with a material sample of about 400 g, enough for a first calibration run.
We offer free support via email and WhatsApp, and we usually respond within 24 hours.
