The recycling process with Felfil extruders is quote easy. But it is necessary to put some attention during the process.
First of all you must separate the materials by typology: for example PLA and ABS must go separate. Maybe some moisture can affect the materials (like it affects the old spools), so try to dry it before extrude.
With our filament makers is it possible to recycle old 3D prints or even plastic wastes such as bottle caps.
You can use Felfil Shredder or a domestic blender to cut your wastes in small pieces
Put the plastic scraps in Felfil Evo and make the filament
Once collected the filament you can print with recycled material
Felfil System can be used in many ways and in different areas. Discover our case histories.
PLA - ABS - PETG and more
Our extrusion system is suitable for many different materials, form the common ones to composite.
from 1.15 m/minute
It depends form the material you are extruding, but you can regulate the rpm speed from 1 to 9.
from 0.5mm to 3mm Ø
Calibrate filament of your needed size thanks to the Felfil Spooler measure and calibration system.
Limited at 250° C
We can unlock the temperature until 300°c on specific requests, anyway 250°C covers many polymers.
10 micron
An high precision sensor measures the filament produced while the software adjusts its diameter.
Specifically made screw
It is made in steel and has a conic profile in order to improve the materials compression with 12,7 l/d ratio
Our recycler machine is available in different configurations, indeed our system is composed by two separated elements: Felfil Evo Extruder and Felfil Spooler.
The complete system (Felfil Bundle) is easier to use and allows to calibrate and collect the filament automatically.
But Felfil Evo can work alone: in this case the filament calibration have to be made by the users such us the spooling process. It is also available a kit version of the Evo filament extruder.
Our filament extruder system is easy to use and suitable for different applications, find out yours
Felfil Evo is an open source project and it is perfect for FabLabs and MakerSpace users: amatorial 3D printers and experts.
It is studied to help Makers recycle plastic waste from 3D printing activities, to save money and try different materials in order to stimulate creativity and innovative ideas.
You can create incredible and original objects from your old 3D prints.
With our system it is possible to experiment new material, test their features and study their application. Felfil Evo and Felfil Spooler can be used in many sectors for prototyping activities.
With our desktop filament maker, research laboratories can be independent creating and testing small quantities of filament and have an immediate experience with the new materials.
Felfil products helps students to learn about new technologies and additive manufacturing.
Thanks to our filament recycler system, it is possible to learn about plastic materials for 3D printing and their potential for reuse culture and 3D printing techniques.
The educational potentials of Felfil Evo project are about recycling theme and reuse, maker philosophy and application sectors of 3D printing.
This material is the most used in 3D printing, it allows to obtain a good surface especially for smooth or detailed parts.
Low-density polyethylene is a polymer used in many different types of packaging. This materials could recycled in FDM 3D printing.
PETG has a smooth surface finish, and is water resistance. It had great thermal characteristics, allowing the plastic to cool efficiently.
Thermoplastic elastomer, is a category of rubberlike plastics that are helpful for anything that needs impact or vibration resistance.
PA12 Nylon is a strong polymer, used in 3D printing for finished products of functional mechanical prototypes.
It has excellent mechanical properties, ABS is a good choice for functional prototypes or finished products.
It is a dissolvable support material that is commonly used with ABS. It can be dissolved in d-Limonene.
HDPE is commonly recycled and resists to many different solvents and has a wide variety of applications.
The perfect choice to prototype thermal resistance components. PC is mostly used for lighings.
Low density, electrical and thermal resistance: those are the main characteristics of PP filaments.
It is a soluble materiale, often used as support material for complex geometry prototypes.
Semi flexible material, chemically resistant to many industrial product. It guarantee a good layer adhesion.
